Pipelines
Kanban return pipelines
One pipeline per return type — 1040, 1120-S, 990, trusts — with stages you define. Drag a card, and the next task starts itself.

Pipelines · tasks · deadlines
March arrives and the whiteboard becomes archaeology. We build your season into TaxDome pipelines: every return a card, every card a checklist, every deadline a tracked date with a task owner. Extension season stops being memory work.
What we build
Pipelines, tasks, automations and reporting — configured on your return types, your staff roles and your deadlines, then stress-tested against your last season's actual volume.
Pipelines
One pipeline per return type — 1040, 1120-S, 990, trusts — with stages you define. Drag a card, and the next task starts itself.
Tasks
Stage change fires tasks to the right person: reviewer, signer, filer. Nothing "remembered," everything assigned with a due date.
Deadlines
Every job carries its statutory date; the calendar view shows the firm's whole month. Overdue items turn red — visibly.
Roles
Preparers see their queue; reviewers see the review queue; partners see everything. The board respects the org chart.
Automations
Client hasn't uploaded by day 7: reminder. Return in review over 48h: partner alert. Signed: filing task auto-created.
Reporting
Volume by stage, staff load, average cycle time — the numbers you currently estimate by feel, on one screen.
The deadline tax
Ask a preparer their worst fear and it is rarely the math: it is the 1065 that sat behind a folder, the extension that needed one signature on April 14th. Memory is the workflow system of most firms, and memory fails precisely when volume peaks.
TaxDome pipelines turn memory into structure: a card per return, a checklist per card, automatic tasks on stage change, and a deadline calendar that owns dates instead of your partner's stress dreams. We design the board around your real season — not a generic demo.
The desk
Founder
Tomás Iglesias
Former operations director of a 22-preparer CPA firm. Built the deadline system that took the firm from three missed cutoffs a year to zero; now builds the same for clients.
Workflow designer
Nadia Haddad
Ex-project manager in construction software — she treats a tax season like a job site: dependencies, crews, and no phase starting before its prerequisites end.
Automation engineer
Chris Bauer
Writes the bots and the alerting rules. Tests against last season's real data, so the automation survives April.

The board in action

Last season, running through the build.
Last season's returns, replayed against the new board to see where March would have bitten.
How it works
01
01
We chart your season: return types, real deadlines, who touches what. The map is the deliverable, even if you never hire us further.
02
02
Board diagram with stages, tasks, owners and automations — reviewed with you line by line before anything is built.
03
03
Pipelines built in TaxDome, then loaded with your last season's actual jobs to test: does March flow like March did?
04
04
Admin training on changing the board yourself — because next year you will add a return type without calling anyone.
Client stories
"Three missed cutoffs in 2019, zero since. The board shows me the last week of March in October, which sounds like a small thing until you have lived the alternative."
Robert Ahn · CPA firm, 9 preparers — Evanston, IL
"The simulation against last year's data was what convinced my partner: same 812 returns, same staff, board built — projected cycle time down 31%. It beat projection."
Denise Okafor · CPA, 6 staff — Naperville, IL
"New hire in January, productive by January 9th. The board tells her what to do next — I stopped being the workflow interpreter."
Sam Patel · EA firm, 5 staff — Chicago, IL
